Plasma treatment of plastic surfaces can effectively pretreat surface activation before gluing, printing or painting. Similarly, ceramics, glass and other materials can also be treated by isoionization. Industrial oxygen is often used as a process gas for plasma treatment, hence the name: oxygen plasma. And the atmosphere is called atmospheric plasma. The effects may last only a few minutes or even months, depending on the type of material that needs to be treated with plasma.

Plasma treatment is a surface modification technology which uses corona discharge to change the surface properties of materials. After corona treatment on the surface of the material/object, it will be guaranteed to bind to the printing ink, paint and binder. Its purpose is to optimize the bonding properties of polymer substrates. The low surface energy of polymer substrates usually results in poor adhesion of inks, glues and coatings, and the high surface energy of these materials. Corona treatment is widely used in plastic film, extrusion, automobile, medicine and other industries. In order to obtain adhesion, the surface energy of the matrix must be greater than or equal to the material surface energy of the polymer used.

3. With the increase of liquid surface tension, the surface energy of solid substrate increases, and the better its wettability is, the smaller the contact Angle is.

4. In order to form an appropriate combination of liquid and substrate surface, the substrate surface energy should be within the liquid tension range of about 2-10Mn /m;

5. When a droplet is installed on a smooth solid surface, the droplet will spread to the substrate. If it is completely wet, the contact Angle is almost zero. Conversely, if the wetting is local, the resulting contact Angle is balanced between 0 and 180 degrees.
